The doyenne of the family Edna’s sudden disappearance forces her daughter and granddaughter to come back to their family home. While both women are desperately trying to find the traces which would lead them to the old lady, she suddenly returns. The joy stops when they see a change in the lady’s behaviour. Edna won’t tell where she was, she keeps forgetting names of her family members and each day becomes more aggressive.

Natalie James’ debut horror is this year’s biggest discovery in the genre. “The Relic” is not just another film about a haunted house – it is a dark, gloomy, thought-consuming story about a “disease” passed from generation to generation.
