Publishing (Poland) Sp. z o.o. / Sony/ATV Music Publishing
Anna Laskowska is a trained pianist, musicologist, and manager. She was engaged in classical, jazz, and film music marketing as well as in special projects at Sony Music Entertainment for eleven years. In 2007 she was appointed strategic marketing director at Sony Music Entertainment and since 2009 she has been the managing director of Sony/ATV Music Publishing Poland. She has worked on a number of platinum and multi-platinum releases, including the first DVD edition of the comedy series "Kabaret Olgi Lipińskiej" ("Olga Lipińska Cabaret"), John Paul II's album "Abba Pater", the first international album of the pianist Stanisław Drzewiecki (promoted with a concert at Carnegie Hall), or an edition of the sountrack for Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ" released as part of a charitable action for a children's hospice in Wrocław. She has helped film producers with selecting and licensing recordings used in Jerzy Antczak's "Chopin. Pragnienie miłości" ("Chopin: Desire for Love") and Roman Polański's "The Pianist". On her initiative, the pianist Janusz Olejniczak, who recorded music for both of these films, received a mutli-platinum award for the highest international sales of a Polish pianist's album ever from Waldemar Dąbrowski, Minister of Culture. Apart from projects for business, including for Orange, BP, Deutsche Bank, Citibank, or Kraft Foods, she is particularly proud of the record "Children's Classics", which earned a 2008 Super-Product Award from "Mam Dziecko", a parenting magazine, and "Antologia Jacka Skubikowskiego", a compilation of ten albums featuring all pieces by Jacek Skubikowski released by Sony/ATV.
